The long-awaited new
single «Crucified» from FEATHERLIKE is here!
FEATHERLIKE, the indie-pop-band with proper rock-appeal mix
their sound with New Wave and long forgotten Brit-Pop. A catchy three-minutes
song always nicely heading towards the final straight! Then what? Youve
got to play it again anyway, but this time, listen to the lyrics.
FEATHERLIKE always stand for decent stories written by real
life: Quirky, sometimes funny or bi- zarre, but always far from being
clichéd. «Crucified» is a musical insinuation about
corrupt politici- ans, ignorant tycoons («...deaf, dumb and
blind..») and dirty money («...black dollar bills...»). Not
exactly funny stuff, though melted together with a bittersweet and snappy tune.
«Crucified» is the first single from the forthcoming
FEATHERLIKE album «Luxuria» that will be re- leased
in September 2011.
After touring Germany and playing gigs with bands
like Polarkreis 18, Mando Diao, Die Fantasti- schen 4 etc., FEATHERLIKE
will be playing some festivals in Summer before touring the new album
«Luxuria» in autumn 2011.
FEATHERLIKE are the
reincarnation of adult-pop, someone once said. Maybe. With their third
album Kings & Queens, the band, once again, combined
irresistible melodies and mature, intelligent songwiriting, drama and
sensuality, grief and humour. This was and always will be FEATHERLIKE's
main goal.
Whether it!s light an ironic, cheerful, bouncy or just plain
rocking, Kings & Queens is a perfect example how
timeless indie-pop-rock sounds, without jumping onto every existing bandwagon.
Good songs nourish our emotions. They tell stories for human beings as such:
gripping, witty, sometimes bizarre but always far off any clichés. Maybe
it!s even your own story?
FEATHERLIKE are constantly gigging and played several
german festivals with bands like Mando Diao, The Hives, Selig, Silbermond,
2raumwohnung, Killerpilze, Die Fantastischen Vier, Milow and many
others.
