creating "vocal
rock"
Imagine rock music. And now think of it without
instruments. Five young singers from Berlin are creating their own genre of
rock music: They are "damn sexy, damn musical" and they want everything
different. Their rock concerts without instruments are shocking to the whole
scene. Just by singing, they are creating a wildly dancing mass of enthusiasts
in front of the stage, celebrating any concert as if it would be the last
concert of the Rolling Stones.
Moved by the crazy rhythms, virtuous drum
set solos and intense bass loops, it seems impossible to stay seated on their
gigs. Their tour across Europe includes torn T-shirts, trashed micro stands and
thousands of cheering fans.
It all started as a small musical project,
but soon became profession: Since 2003, YeoMen are creating innovative
sounds and modern arrangements, everything without taking themselves too
seriously. Legendary: In 2006 they broke the world record of "singing techno
music non-stop" - yelling and bouncing for more than six hours without
interruption.
In 2007, YeoMen was supporting act of the "Es wird
eng"-tour of Germany's biggest rock act called "Die Ärzte" - a tremendous
highlight in band history, a perfect conclusion of a successful year and a
novelty for a band without instruments.
In 2008, YeoMen will
release their next studio album and tour around Europe. And, of course,
they will try to achieve world domination.
